Almost twice as many people die from suicide as by road deaths. Each day there are 7 deaths by suicide and an estimated 200 attempts! Many of these persons are working with us, in our workplaces, in our teams and perhaps at the next desk. How can we prevent this tragic situation? What should we watch out for? What should we say? What should we do? This concise presentation will provide you with information on:

  • The extent of the problem and risks
  • Recognising warning signs and tipping points
  • How to approach someone at risk of suicide and what to say
  • Rights, responsibilities and legal issues
  • “Reasonable accommodation”
  • Ongoing management
  • Postvention strategies
  • Support and resources

There will be an opportunity for discussion and questions. Places strictly limited.
